Hair Color Kit

Colour the way the earth makes it — leaf by leaf.

The idea

Long before box dyes, India coloured its hair with leaves: henna for warmth, indigo for depth, amla to cool the tone. The result was never instant or uniform — it was alive, settling into its true shade over a day or two and conditioning the hair as it went.

This kit gathers those leaves: pure henna and indigo powders with amla and hibiscus, intended to be exactly what the label says — plants, ground fine, and nothing else.

We are still testing batches for depth of colour before a single packet reaches the shelf. If plant colour is what you have been waiting for, leave your email and wait with us.

The ritual

How we imagine this kit being used — slowly, and without hurry.

  1. 01

    Brew

Mix the henna with warm water — a splash of brewed tea deepens the tone — and let the paste rest a few hours, until the dye releases.

  2. 02

    Paint

Section the hair and apply from root to tip in generous, unhurried coats.

  3. 03

    Wrap

Cover and wait two to four hours. Plant colour takes its time — that is rather the point.

  4. 04

    Rinse

Wash with water alone and skip shampoo for a day; the shade settles and deepens over the next forty-eight hours.

Inside the kit

Intended ingredients — final contents may evolve.

  • Henna (mehendi)

Sun-dried, finely ground Lawsonia leaves, traditionally used across India for warm, coppery colour.

  • Indigo leaf

Layered over henna in tradition, taking the shade from copper toward deep brown.

  • Amla

Traditionally added to cool warm tones and lend the paste a conditioning touch.

  • Hibiscus petal powder

An old companion of hair rituals, traditionally used for softness and shine.
