About Healots Virgin Coconut Oil
Cold-pressed from fresh coconut, unrefined and bottled as it comes. One oil for the kitchen, the skin and the hair — the way it has been used in Indian homes for generations.
How it is made
- Cold-pressed & unrefined Extracted without heat or chemical processing, so the oil keeps its natural aroma, flavour and character.
- Vegan, with nothing added No artificial flavours, no preservatives, no mineral oils.
- Naturally rich in MCFAs Virgin coconut oil is naturally high in medium-chain fatty acids such as lauric acid — that is a fact about its composition, not a promise about your health.
- Its own flavour and aroma A gentle tropical note in cooking, and a soft scent in a skin or hair routine.
Traditionally used for
- Hair & scalp A long-standing pre-wash oiling tradition. Coconut oil coats the hair shaft, which is why many people find it leaves hair softer, glossier and easier to comb.
- Dry skin Used as a simple, single-ingredient moisturiser for dry skin, lips and cuticles — and as a gentle massage or makeup-removing oil.
- In the kitchen An everyday cooking oil with a high smoke point, used across coastal India for centuries.
- Oil pulling A traditional Ayurvedic morning practice of swishing a spoonful of oil in the mouth. Offered here as tradition, not as a substitute for brushing, flossing or seeing a dentist.
How to use
- Cooking: Use in place of butter or other oils for sautéing, frying or baking.
- Hair: Warm slightly, work through lengths before shampooing, or use a few drops on damp ends to tame frizz.
- Skin: Smooth over dry areas after a bath, or blend with an essential oil for massage.
- Storage: Keep cool, dry and out of direct sun. It solidifies below about 24°C and melts again with no loss of quality.
FAQs
- Is it suitable for cooking? Yes — its high smoke point suits sautéing, frying and baking.
- Can I use it on my face? Many people do, as a moisturiser or makeup remover. Coconut oil can block pores on some skin types, so patch test first.
- Is it suitable for all hair types? It is used on curly, wavy and straight hair alike. Fine hair may prefer a small amount on the ends only.
- Any artificial ingredients or preservatives? None. Just cold-pressed virgin coconut oil.
- Why has it gone solid? That is normal below roughly 24°C. Stand the jar in warm water and it returns to liquid unchanged.
